About This Scholarship

Under the National Medical Education Act of Nepal, 75% of total MBBS seats in government institutions and 10–20% of seats in affiliated private medical colleges are reserved as 100% tuition-free scholarship seats.

Selected students receive a complete tuition fee waiver throughout the 5.5-year MBBS / BDS curriculum, subject to signing the national public service bond to serve in government-designated healthcare centers across Nepal.

Open to all Nepali citizens who appear and achieve qualifying merit ranks in the Medical Education Common Entrance Examination (MECEE-BL). Both open merit and reservation categories (Khas Arya, Janajati, Madhesi, Dalit, Backward Areas) are accommodated according to statutory proportions.
